St.Peter’s College Library and Dept. of Library and
Information Science organized a visit to St.John’s Childrens Home, Mariapuram,
at Idukki District on 1st November, 2014.In the morning session we
arranged a film show “Manjadikkuru”(children’s movie) for the children.
At noon our
students prepared lunch there for all the members of childern’s home. In the
afternoon session we interacted with children and provided a platform to
perform their programs like dance, presentations, discussions etc…The output of
the program brought about immense pleasure in the members of the children’s
home. From their feedback we happened to know that our visit helped them to get
an effective guidance and clearance on their educational queries. It was a
wonderful opportunity for our team especially the students to get opened their
mind towards the society to realize the importance of charity work.
