ONE DAY IN THE GARDEN OF KNOWLEDGE
As part of our
curriculum we B.LI.Sc. Students visited EMS Cooperative Public Library in
Kakkanad, Ernakulamm on 11th October 2017. It is the first library under cooperative section in
India, it is also the first Garden Library in Kerala.
The library
consists of around 86000 books, 142
Indian periodicals and 9 Foreign. The library also have special
collections like
1.Library
for Visually Challenged. Which have 318 English Braille Books.
2.M.
Krishnan Nair's Personal collection(7891 books).
3.Complete
Drawing Works of M F Hussein,Raja Ravi Varma and Leonardo Da-vinci.
4.Children's
section. Unique Specialty of the library.
